Games, games, games

Tell your friends about the best summertime backyard BBQ/football tailgating game: Horseballs. Like horseshoes, but with balls...specifically, golf balls hung on a cord.

Allow the Hagberg brothers and friends to demonstrate:

Related? Clearly. Enjoying the Silver Bullet? For sure. On the same team? No; in horseballs, when playing in teams, teammates stand at the opposite "rail targets" (the official name of that three-tier PVC pipe beauty, according to the "very official" website I linked to above). Personally, I prefer to call them wickets....just because

Action shot of John. In all honesty, this picture kind of freaks me out. I caught him in a weird pose. However, it is true that one is always this utterly happy when playing horseballs.

Trevor, digging in. Note his technique; balls held loosely, swung and thrown toward the wicket from below the knee.

John (gesturing with hands): "Dude, your horseballs were like this far away from the wicket."
Ben (laughing): "Man, horseballs is the best game ever."

I love this game! Our friends have it and it is so addicting! For some reason I thought they made it up, but now I know it is coast-to-coast!
