Endings and Beginnings

It was strange to pack up my cubicle, turn in my "swipey-pass", and drive away from the office yesterday. After more than four and a half years working at BBBS, it's going to take some time for the reality of my departure to set in. Especially since we're leaving for Maine for two weeks tomorrow. I think it will just feel like vacation until we get back and Adam goes back to work and I do not!

Despite having good plans in the works for next year, I did have my first, little, tiny panic attack yesterday about being willfully unemployed. It will be strange, but relatively short lived, in the big picture, and I'm looking forward to a different pace of life that will once again include classes and homework.

I'll keep you posted on additional developments as things get formalized. But for now, I'm unemployed; soon to become a full time student. We're going tech-free for the first week of our vacation so there will be no blogging, no Facebook, no email (though our cell phones will be on). But I hope to devote a bit more time attention to this space in the coming year. With any luck, I'll have the time.
